TRYING TO FIND BODY
Fifteen men are engaged in dragging the Stanislaus river in the hope of recovering the body of Tom Jenness, a well known timber land owner of Tuolumne county, who is supposed to have been drowned near the ford which is made in going to Beardslee Flat from Strawberry. Jenness left with two horses, both of which have been located. The river bank shows where the animals entered and left the stream, but no trace of the rider has been found up to this time. Besides a brother, J Jenness, there are three sisters; Mrs C A Wetmore, Mrs James Barnwell and Mrs Long.
