Thomas Jenness, one of the oldest and best known settlers in the mountains, died Thursday evening at the home of his daughter Mrs C A Wetmore at Sugar Pine. The deceased had been in failing health for the past two years. He was an expert lumberman and before ill health overtook him was the equal of any man in the woods. He was a native of England and aged 69 years. He is survived by a family of children, all grown.
