OBITUARY
David Booth

Impressive final rites for David Booth, well-known Waycrossan, were held yesterday afternoon at 3:30 at the Trinity Methodist Church, with the pastor, the Rev. David Cripps, and the Rev. M. P. Webb, pastor of the First Methodist Church in Brunswick and a former Trinity pastor officiating following burial into Oakland Cemetery.
There were many beautiful floral tributes attesting to the high esteem in which Mr. Booth was held and to the love of a host of friends.
Mr. Booth died Tuesday in a local hospital after a long illness.
A native of Ware county he had spent most of his life in Waycross and was affiliated with the Hebardville Store until his retirement several years ago.
He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church and served on the board of stewards, of which he was a former chairman. He was a member of the Big Brothers Sunday School Class and was a Mason.
Survivors include his wife;
four daughters,
Mrs. Hubert DeShazo, Columbus,
Mrs. Ernestine Hendricks, Boca Raton, Fla.,
Mrs. S. A. Maddox, Jr.
Mrs. Alton Bell both of Waycross;
one son
Marshall Booth, Thomasville;
( two stepdaughters,)
Mrs. Elmer Runestron, Albany,
Mrs. Atwood Freeman, Brunswick;
(one stepson,)
Troy Tomberlin, Waycross;
two brothers,
Jesse Booth, Quitman,
George Booth, Blackshear
and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers:
Marcus Sweat, Virgil Lee, J. A. Mills, J. D. Smith, Madison Gibson, Milton C. Harris, Russell Holt and Dr. C. M. Blanton.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the board of stewards of the Trinity Methodist Church.
Hinson Funeral Parlors was in charge of arrangements.
