Parents: Sterling Hicks Maile and Ann "NANCY" Epps Spain Maile.
Some census records show her name as Coral or Carrie, Coral is an indian name it is said this family links to the Cherokee Indians.

Her grandchildren called her "Mum Maile". As per my grandfather she loved to tell stories and was the sweetest lady they had met when it was nap time her grandchildren always wanted to sleep with her holding them.

Corinda passed away in her bed at her sons house. She was at the home of her son Joseph of whom she lived with. Ernest and Joe two of her grandchildren were in the bed with her when she passed, she was hugging them. -Info from my grandfather Ernest Bryant Bishop.

Mrs. Corrinda Bishop, wife of the late David Bishop, died suddenly yesterday morning at her home, the residence of her son, Joseph B. Bishop, 1319 West Washington Street.
Mrs. Bishop was 75 years of age and a native of Dinwiddie County. Early in life she moved to this city and has since resided in the western part of the city. The deceased was widely known and enjoyed the respect and esteem of a large circle of friends.
The deceased is survived by a son by a former marriage, Ernest B. Wilson, and a son and daughter by her last marriage, Joseph B. Bishop and Mrs. Dennie Holt, of this city also two sisters, Mrs. Georgianna Deadmond and Mrs. E. Y. Price, of this city; and two brothers, W. J. Maile, of this city, and Bernice Maile of South Richmond.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the grave in Blandford Cemetery. Rev. J. M. B. Gill, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, of which the deceased was a devout communicant, will officiate.
