Marylou Boyd, 72, of Van Buren, IN passed away at her home in Van Buren on October 25, 2020, at 6:15 am. She was born February 21, 1948, at home in Marion, IN to Earl and Fern (Kinerk) Hartley. She married William David Boyd on November 13, 1967 in Marion, IN.
Marylou was a graduate of Marion High School, class of ’66. She was proud to be a Giant. She enjoyed watching IU basketball, NASCAR, and the dirt tracks to watch Bill Lewis race. She was a loyal Tom Brady fan and followed him from the Patriots to the Buccaneers. Marylou enjoyed watching westerns and her favorite musician was Elvis Presley. She was devoted to her two dogs, Miley and Stickers, and her loyal cat, Smudge.
Loving survivors include sons Patrick Boyd and Douglas Boyd, both of Van Buren, daughters Misty Long of Columbia City and Jeannie Boyd of Van Buren, best friend Bonnie Lewis of Lynn, IN, former son-in-law Jim Long, brother-in-law Lloyd (Carol) Boyd Sr. of Van Buren, sister-in-law Lora (Harry) Sheetz of Marion, IN, brother-in-law Leon (Brenda) Boyd of Marion, IN, and sister-in-law Barbara (Darrel) Heral of Marion, IN.
Marylou was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Fern Hartley, husband William Boyd, infant daughter Marylois Boyd, siblings Dale Hartley, Virgil Hartley, Maxine Coble, Phyllis Pace, and Catherine Hartley.
Inurnment will be November 4, 2020, at 1pm at Farrville Cemetery in rural Grant County.
Arrangements are being handled by Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home in Van Buren, IN.
