This beautiful angel statue is found at the graves of Mary and John Ireton. It doesn't seem to be a headstone for them though since their stones are directly behind the angel and have both head and footstones. The angel statue may have just marked the area as their family's resting place. It has stood for many years and is still beautiful today.

John Ireton's stone has been toppled. It is not a tall stone though and seems to be a thick, sturdy one. It sits directly behind the large family Angel monument. There is a headstone and a smaller footstone which you can see more clearly in the other photo.

This photo is looking toward the west and you are seeing the back of the angel statue. John Ireton's stone is on the right (north) and Mary Ireton's stone is on the left (south). The two smaller stones seem to be their foot stones.

This beautiful angel monument may have supposed to have been the centerpiece of the Ireton family's cemetery. It sits in front of John and Mary Ireton's graves but they have their own head and footstones. Other than the scroll work at the top of the black marble, the monument bears no name but IRETON on the front of the base.
