Mrs. Rivers, 81, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, in her home in Philadelphia.
She was a native and lifelong resident of the Good Hope community in Neshoba County. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Rivers was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurston Rivers; an infant child, Nancy Lee, several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Rivers of Oxford, Ala. and Larry Rivers of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Audrey Nell Adkins of Philadelphia; one brother, John Wilbur Clark of Belzoni; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Wade Skaggs, Gary Wayne Rivers, Jr., Trey Faulkner, River Faulkner, Terry Watkins, Marty Sistrunk, Ricky McDonald and Billy Johnson.
