The death of Mrs. [Magdalen] William H. Draper occurred Saturday evening [5 Jan] at the residence, 134 Second Avenue, following a brief illness. Her maiden name was Magdalen Livingston and she was born in Albany County seventy three years ago. She was married fifty three years ago.

The survivors are her husband, former Congressman William H. Draper; two sons, Andrew L. and Edward E. Draper, and a daughter, Mrs. [Bessie] George M. Ruffin of Washington, D.C. A sister, Miss Mary Livingston of Lansingburgh, also survives. Mrs. Draper was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and had been for many years an active worker in its behalf.
