Mrs. Bessie Draper Ruffin, 77, native and former resident of Troy, and a member of a prominent Troy family, died yesterday [2 Sept] at her home, 220 19th St. N.W. Washington, D.C. Daughter of the late Congressman and Mrs. William H. Draper of this city, she was the widow of Dr. George M. Rufin and had lived in Washington since her marriage in 1913.

Her only survivor is a daughter, Miss Barbara Ruffin, also of Washington. The funeral will be held tomorrow from the National Presbyterian Church, Washington, with the paster, Rev. Edward L. R. Elson, D.D., officiating. A service will be held at the grave in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. John E. Bauer, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church officiating.
