Charley E. Price died at his home near Paragould, Arkansas, August 20, 1928, at 10 o'clock.
Mr. Price was sick only a few minutes before his death. He worked all day and ate a hearty supper. Death was due to an attack of chronic gastritis. He was 50 years and 1 day of age at the time of his death.
He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, Sadie Price, and five children; Misses Gladys, Mabel, Margaret and Pearl Price and one son, Curtis Price. He also leaves an aged mother, six brothers and one sister.
Mr. Price was a resident of Texas county, Mo., for 20 years until two years ago, when he moved to Arkansas. He professed faith in Christ in 1922 and joined the Baptist church, and was a faithful member until his death.
Funeral services were held at the Morning Star church, conducted by Rev. R.E L. Bearden, and burial followed in New Friendship cemetery.
It is an awful sorrow to his loved ones and friends, but God knew best and took him home, where pain and sorrow are no more.
Thou art gone, our loving brother, nevermore wilt thou return; here he sleeps a peaceful slumber till the resurrection morn. All his smiles are hidden from us, his voice is forever stilled; a place is vacant in the home which never can be filled.
