Thelma Marjean Peck Stansfield, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully and returned to her Heavenly Father on May 11, 2017, in Aurora, Colorado.

She was born in Salt Lake City on Nov. 26, 1934, to Rodney S. Peck and Thelma Lucile Davis. She married Ned Douglas Stansfield on May 12, 1956. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity.

They are the parents of three children: Nate D. Stansfield, (Cami), Brian Dale Stansfield (Heather) and Ronda Wheeler (Richard).

Thelma loved her family and did all she could for them, despite her handicap from a car accident that left her partially crippled. She loved to crochet, read and sew in her earlier years. Later on, coloring and doing word searches became her her favorite hobby.

She worked as a crossing guard at East Elementary for 22 years and then retired and moved to Colorado to live with her son, Brian, and his wife. She was loved by all who knew her and touched many lives with her kindness and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned; a granddaughter, Christine Stansfield Umana; grandson Michael Wheeler; great-granddaughter Celeste Hope Wheeler; her twin sister, Nadine Ruekert; a niece, Linda Lucetti; and three brothers, Tom, Steve and Lamar Peck.

She is survived by her three children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017, at the Tooele Stake Center, located at 253 S. 200 East. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. with a viewing prior to that from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
