Thelma Lucile Davis Peck died October 27, 2003 in Denver, Colorado.

She was born to Lillian Bullough and Thomas Morgan Davis March 24, 1913 in Salt Lake City, UT. She had one younger sister, Ruth Lillian Davis Featherstone Baum.

She graduated from LDS High School, 1930 and was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her entire life. On June 18, 1933 she married Rodney Peck. They had seven children. There were twins, Nadine (Alma Rueckert) and Marjean (Ned Stansfield), Beverly (Ray Brunski), Rodney LaMarr (Evelyn), Thomas (Yvonne), James (Sherry), and Stephen (Phyllis). Thomas died Sept 7, 2002.

In Dec 1941 she moved to Pioche, NV where her husband became superintendent of the Salt Lake-Pioche Mining Company. These were her golden years. Especially dear to her were participation in the Ladies Literary Club, the YWMIA, and drama. She also endeared herself to the young men in the community by serving in the Cub Scouts.

The end of the war necessitated the family's removal to Salt Lake. Here, although the excitement of the Pioche years was gone, she performed some of her most valuable work. Through very difficult times she endured and became a fountain of strength to her family. Lucile and Rodney became inseparable and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple May 16, 1969. He died Nov 18, 1971.

Following his death, she moved to South Salt Lake. Here, she again involved herself in church activity. She taught Primary and eventually served in the ward Primary presidency. She also joined and participated in a ladies literary club and The Daughters of Utah Pioneers. When her health began to fail she took turns staying with various family members until her death. What a wonderful day it must have been for her to be reunited with her family. Truly, this was her graduation day. God bless you! Funeral will be Mon. Nov 3, 2003, Kimball Ward 2280 S. 300 E, South Salt Lake, 11 a.m. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services.
