Mrs. Minnie Myrtle Hargrave, 83, of 207 West Summit, died at 9 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient six days.
She was the widow of Elmer Hargrave, onetime circuit clerk of Wayne county.
Lives WIth Daughter
Mrs. Hargrave for the past several years has resided with her daughter, Mrs. Ray Gregg and Mr. Gregg at the Summit street address.
She had been in failing health since April and was hospitalized Monday for a heart condition. She suffered a severe heart attack Friday evening and again Saturday.
Mrs. Hargrave had resided in Fairfield the past 54 years.
Rites Tuesday
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m Tuesday from Nales Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Bailey officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Monday (today).
Minnie Myrtle, daughter of Rudolph and Mary Taylor Gloeckner, was born in Wayne county, near Johnsonville, December 25th, 1881.
Married in 1902
She was married to Elmer Hargrave September 7th, 1902, with one daughter born to this union.
Mrs. Hargrave was a member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, near Johnsonville.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Ray Gregg, of Fairfield, and two step-grandchildren, Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Hodges, of Fairfield; and Mrs. Robert (Billie) Anderson, of Fairfield.
Sister Died Wednesday
Four sisters preceded her in death, with one, Mrs. Isaac Hufhines, passing away only last Wednesday. Another sister, Mrs. Lafe Spicer, died April 7th. Also preceding her in death were Mrs. Clyde Michels and Cora Rosetta.
