She was born In Redfield, January 5, 1859, a daughter of the late George and Ursula Mix Balcom. On December 4, 1884, she was married to Charles M. Wight, who died 19 years ago, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. C. H. Harris in Redfield. Mrs. Wight had lived here for 42 years and was a member of the United Church and missionary society of that church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Daniel Shattuck of this village; two brothers, C. W. Balcom of St. Charles, Ill., and E. H. Balcom of Rome: also, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. at her late home with the Rev. B. A. Walton, pastor of United Church, officiating. Friends may call at the home at their convenience Burial will be made in Forest Park Cemetery, in charge of B. A. Sanborn & Son.
