Mrs. Joe Johnston, 75, of Evansville, died Saturday morning at the home of her son George Johnston in Windside (Winside), Neb., after a long illness.
She was born in Ringgold County, Iowa on July 10, 1878 and came to Wyoming 30 years ago with her family from Missouri. Mr. Johnston died three years ago and a daughter, Mary Johnston, died 10 years ago (incorrect, Mary died in 1922, 31 years earlier).
Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Oma Tull, of Hatfield, MO.; a son Derlin of Evansville and a son George of Windside (Winside), Neb.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services and interment will be conducted on Wednesday at Lone Rock, Mo. (services were in Lone Rock Church and interment was in adjacent Payne Cemetery near Hatfield, Mo.)
