Alida Livingston was the daughter of Gilbert Livingston and his wife, Cornelia Beekman. She was baptized on May 13, 1716. She was married in Kingston, New York on November 24, 1737 to Jacob Rutsen (b. 1716; d. before 1750). Alida (Livingston) Rutsen was married on October 8, 1762 to Hendrick Van Rensselaer(1712 – 1793).Alida was the daughter of Gilbert Livingston and Cornelia Beekman.

Alida married Jacob Rutsen November 24, 1737 Kingston, Ulster Co., NY.

Gilbert Livingston made his will Dec 12, 1745 wherein he names, "daughter Alida wife of Capt. Jacob Rutsen,"

Executors, "sons Robert and Henry, son-in-law Capt. Jacob Rutsen and 'my beloved nephew' Robert Livingston son of my brother Robert Livingston"
