Lula was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Lucy Alice Wright Pridgen. Her parents are buried in Matthews Cemetery near Grapeland, TX. She is buried beside her husband, Zachias Charles Sheridan, who she married 17 February 1886 in Houston County. Their sons, John Frank Sheridan and William Nugent Sheridan, and an infant daughter are buried in Garden of Memories. Their infant son is also buried in Matthews Cemetery
