From an unnamed and undated article located in the Lamar County Genealogical Society Library, in the Taylor Collection, Box Mc. ‘Deport - Una McGrew, 80, of Deport Nursing Home died Saturday, April 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the nursing home. Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 17, at 4 p.m. at the Woodard Cemetery by Grant Funeral Home. The Rev. Weldon Allen will officiate. Mrs. McGrew was born March 21, 1908, in Cunningham, a daughter of William A. and Lyda Jane Wright Black. Surviving are two sons, Eugene and James Stockton, both of west TX; a daughter, Mrs. Johnnie Binnington of Ranger; two sisters, Mrs. L.F. Archibald of Cunningham and Birdie Garrison of Dallas; and eight grandchildren.’
