Norma Baird Kofoed Cleveland Morrison, daughter of Clarence and Grace Kofoed, passed away on July 7, 2020 at her home in Pahrump, Nevada. She was 94.

Norma was born November 3, 1925 in Weston, Idaho. Her mother died when Norma was 10 years old, in 1936. She attended Preston High School, Class of 1943. In 1944, at age 18, she began studying in the WWII Cadet Nursing Corps, receiving her Registered Nurse Training at the LDS Hospital School of Nursing, affiliated with the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Norma was married to Bryant L. Cleveland shortly before graduation from Nursing School in 1947. Norma's father died in 1951. She moved to Las Vegas with her husband and daughter in 1952. For 14 years she was Nurse Manager at a busy surgeons' practice. In 1965, Norma and Bryant divorced. Norma became Head Nurse at Emergency Departments at Valley and UMC Hospitals. She was chosen, among other health professionals, to write and teach the first Paramedic Program in the State of Nevada, and was in charge of the Emergency Medical Programs at Clark County Community College until 1984, when she married Calvin Q Morrison and retired from teaching. She felt honored to be chosen to help start and manage this very valuable program and enjoyed her 15 years involved in it. Norma was granted the title of Professor Emeritus by the University of Nevada.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening, dancing, entertaining, and reading. She had great friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Calvin, father, mother, four sisters, and six brothers. She is survived by her daughter Kathy (Jared), special niece Kim and her husband Clayton, stepchildren Kristi, Charles, and Calvin Jr., and her other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held in Franklin, Idaho on August 8, 2020.
