Died, at Woodworth, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. B. L. Vincent, Jan. 3, 1890, Mrs. Mehitable Parks, aged 89 years 6 month.
Mrs M. Parks was born July 6, 1800 in Pompey, Onondaga County, N. Y. She married Reuben Parks Sept. 13, 1818 at Pompey. They removed to Otto, Cattaraugus County, in 1825, and remained there till they removed to Benton, Lake County, Ill., in 1844. She remained in Benton from 1844 until the death of her husband in 1853. Since that time she has made her home with her children in Kenosha County.
She was the mother of ten children, eight of whom are living. There are also nearly 100 grandchildren and great grandchildren who mourn her death. She retained her health and facuities remarkly till within a year or two of her death. She suffered greatly in the last sickness and was ready to depart.
