G.J. GALBREATH FUNERAL IS HELD HERE MARCH 6 th

Funeral services for G. J. Galbreath were held March 6 at Salty with Rev. Clyde Majors conducting the service. Burial was made in the Salty Cemetery.

Jack Galbreath as he was known by many passed away at his home in Georgetown Friday morning. The body was brought to Rockdale by Phillips and Luckey where it remained until 9:45 AM Saturday when it was taken to the Salty Church.

Galbreath had been in poor lealth for a long time and the past year had grown steadily worse and for approximately the last two weeks before his death he was seriously ill and bedfast. He grew up in the Salty Community where he lived most of his life. Since leaving the Salty Cumminity, he had lived in Liberty Hill, Georgetown, and Taylor.

After the War he moved back to Georgetown to be near his youngest son. His friends will remember him as being an unusually cheerful person with deep religious convictions.

He is survived by his wife, 3 sons, 4 daughters, 20 grand children, 5 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 step-daughter. attending the funeral were: Mr and Mrs Moody Galbreath and children of Girard, MSgt and Mrs. T. T. Dittrich of Las Vegas, Nev.; Mr and Mrs R. H. Meixner and children of Sniley; Mr and Mrs V. B. Ferguson of Clarksville; MSgt and Mrs C. E. Curtis of Manhattan, Kansas; Mr and Mrs J. R. Galbreath of Georgetown, and Mrs Ruby Bunkley of Austin.

Mr and Mrs Will Galbreath of Houston; Mr and Mrs E. A. Stovall of Victorville, Calif; Mr and Mrs W. K. Galbreath and Mr Thomas Galbreath of Edconch; Mr and Mrs Math Galbreath, Mr Jim Lumpkins of Mason. Mr and Mrs Harold Galbreath and sons of Grand Ptairie; Mr and Mrs L. Edwards of Austin; Mr and Mrs Roy Lewis and Jan of Hearne; Mrs. C.R. Majors of Hutto; and Mr and Mrs Billy K. Galbreath of College Station.
