Brothers James and Robert both served on the Confederate side during the American Civil War as soldiers of the 9th and 10th Mississippi Infrantries. James was injured in the Battle of Franklin and went on to become a highly decorated war hero. Sadly, Robert perished shortly after enlisting.
Elizabeth married John Henry Marion, a farmer, in Lafayette, Mississippi on February 27, 1851. Together, they had eight daughters; twins Martha (AKA Mattie) and Sallie, Susan (AKA Susie), Adeie, Gabrielle (AKA Ella), Dina and twins Marie (AKA Maud) and Minnie.
Elizabeth's date of death is unknown. However, she was listed on the 1900 Federal Census and not on the 1910 Census. It is also unknown where she is buried, although she was living in DeSoto County as of 1900.
