"PARDUE-Mrs. Rachel N. Pardue, 83, born March 13, 1860, died at 11:50 a.m. Monday, October 4, 1943, at her residence in Tioga, LA. She is survived by her husband, H.N. Pardue, Tioga; four sons, Henry Pardue, Tioga; C.E. Pardue, Pinevile; E.H. Pardue, Port Arthur, Texas, and D.S. Pardue, Galveston, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. M.P. Cook, Alexandria; 26 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Funeral services this afternoon at 3 o'clock in the chapel at Hixson Brothers. Interment in Greenwood Memorial Park."
