She was born September 19, 1925 in Wayne County, Indiana, one of eleven children of Charles Robert and Gertrude Mae (Cain) Cox.
She attended school in Centerville, graduating from Centerville High School in 1938.
On June 2, 1943, she was married in Tallahoma, Tennessee to Robert K. Darrah. Mr. Darrah passed away November 12, 2005.
Survivors include a son, F. Dale (Becky) Darrah of New Palestine; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Leon (Helen) Smith of Connersville and Alma McClurg of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. She was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband of 62 years, Robert Darrah, she is preceded in death by a son, Robert K. Darrah, Jr. who died February 5, 2019; six brothers, Francis Cox, Wade Cox, Ralph Cox, Donald Cox, Wilbur Cox, and Keith Cox.
Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
