Ruby "Nona" Allene Collier, 89, of Nowata, passed away June 14, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born May 23, 1931, in Childers, Oklahoma to Walter Harrison and Eva Jane (Adamson) Hicks. Nona married Dempsey Donald "Pete" Collier on February 21, 1948. Nona worked as a Nurses Aid at the Nowata Hospital for many years. She liked to crochet, work puzzles, canning vegetables, and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother. She held a special place in her heart for all her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding Mrs. Collier in death are her parents, Walter and Eva Hicks; husband Pete Collier: a grandchild, Destiny Barnett; sisters, Jewell Loghry, Evelyn Hughes, Barbara Bray, Allene Hughes, Nelsene Hicks, Eva Jane Green; brothers Paul Hicks, Walter Hicks, Howard Hicks, Delbert Hicks, Jim Hicks, Ancil Hicks, Wendell Hicks, and Vernon H. Hicks; and a son-in-law, Patrick Chavez.

Survivors include her daughters Debra Collier-Botts and husband Earl, of Tulsa, Lynda Chavez of Bartlesville, OK; eight grandchildren, April Mayhew, Tiffany Baumann, Brian Vaughan, Dayna Mares, Lisa Bringel, Jess Price, Harold Milner, James Milner; 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Ruby Collier will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2020 at Benjamin Funeral Service, 114 W Cherokee, Nowata, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Martin (Happy Hill) Cemetery in Nowata County. The family will be present at Benjamin Funeral Service for visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday June 18, 2020 to greet friends and family.
