Richard Allan Klahold, Age 33, of Red Lion, Pa, formerly of Hellam Township, York County, PA, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at York Hospital, York, PA; after a lengthy illness.

He was born March 13, 1974, in Lancaster, PA; at the, St Josephs Hosptial, the son of Vonny Annette (Hunt) Klahold of Hellam Twp,PA, and the late Walter Eugene Klahold.

Richard was a self employed farmer who volunteered his services to numerous farmers in the area. He also had worked at Pep Boys and Tire America. He was a member of Red Lion Bible Church and the Steam O Rama of Windsor. He was a 1993 graduate of the York County School of Technology and formerly attended Eastern York High School, Wrightsville, PA. Richard received numerous awards and ribbons in tractor pull competitions.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Alexander John Klahold of Lancaster, PA; five brothers, Scott A. Hunt of Gettysburg, PA; James W. Klahold of York, PA; Andrew L. Klahold of White City, Ore., Eugene G. Klahold of York, PA; and David F. Klahold of Gig Harbor, Wash.; three sisters, Karen K. Klahold of York, PA; Dawn M. Klahold of Leesport, PA; and Iris A. Morris, of Brogue, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2007, at Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, PA. with Pastor Steven Schmuck officiating.

Burial will follow at Canadochly Cemetery, Lower Windsor Twp, PA.
