LEESPORT Vonny A. Klahold, 73, formerly of Hellam Twp.York County, PA. died at St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading,Pa on Saturday , September 7, 2013. She was the wife of the late Walter Eugene Klahold. Born September 27, 1939, in Shiloh, on the Shedder Farm, near York, PA. She was the youngest of nine daughters of the late David Franklin and Olive (Rider) Hunt. Vonny graduted in 1957 from Susquehanock High School, near Glen Rock, PA. Vonny was a graduate of Yorktowne Business Institute. She is survived by five sons, Scott Allan Hunt of Gettysburg, James Walter Klahold, Andrew Lee Klahold and Eugene Gerhart Klahold, all of York, and David Franklin Klahold of Gig Harbor, Wash; two daughters, Karen K. Klahold of York and Dawn Marie Klahold of Leesport; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Mary Shearer, Florence Heckert, Mildred Becker and Marion Dubbs, all of York, and Arlene Roseberry of Stewartstown. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Allen Klahold, and a daughter, Iris Anette Morris, and three sisters, Hazel Shearer, Pauline Amspacher and Phylis Amspacher. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St. York. Burial will be held in Canadochly Cemetery.
