She was the daughter of Edward Haskell and Deborah McFarland.

On 25 May 1856, she married William M. Daggett, and they had three children: Lola (1860-1874), Elzada M. (1862-1924), and Ida (1865-??). She is with William in the 1860 US census record. William died about 1865. She is with their three children in the 1870 record.

On 15 Dec 1877, she married William Flye. In the 1880 US census record, they are together, and also in the record is Ida Daggett. They are also together in the 1900 US census record.

Sarah Emily died on 4 Dec 1903.
