Mrs. Dorothy Mae Inman Mintz, 86 of Thomasville passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehab in Thomasville. Dorothy was born September 25, 1933 to the late John Inman and Zonie Warren in Haywood County. Dorothy was a machine operator and retired from Rex Plastic. She was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. She had a great talent and love for sewing. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Leonard Mintz on April 7, 2005; and her daughter Dorothy Elaine Mintz Forrest on April 23, 2019; and many brothers and sisters.
Surviving is one grandson, Jesse Leonard Forest of Thomasville; son-in-law, Roger Forrest; her companion, Bobby Sechrest; her longtime friend, Maggie Truell; nephew, Wayne Draughn and wife Debbie of Thomasville; she also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday June 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville with Rev. Hillis Burton officiating. No formal visitation will be held, Dorothy will remain at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville for viewing all day on Tuesday, and will be taken for graveside service at 10:30 AM on Wednesday.
