He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.
On June 1, 1962, he was married to Grace Haynes Adams, who died April 4, 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Linda) Reedy of Hayes and Mrs. Eugene (Hiawatha) Gentle of Hickory; one step-daughter, Mrs. Betty Hunt of Silver Valley Community, Lexington; one step-son, Billy Adams of Thomasville; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Mintz of Thomasville; one brother, Frank Inman of Darrington, Wash.
Funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at J.C. Green and Sons Chapel. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
