Mrs. Adalanda Davis, an aged and highly-respected resident of Barree, died at her home on Thursday, March 26, 1942, at 9:35 a.m., after a long illness.

Mrs. Davis was born in Orbisonia on July 19, 1850, a daughter of Joshua and Rebecca (James) Bard. At the time of death she was aged 91 years, eight months and seven days. She had been a resident of Barree for 62 years and was a member of the Methodist church at Barree.

Surviving are three sons: Charles Davis, Ira Davis, of Barree, Dr. B. R. Davis, of Wilkinsburg; also, four sisters: Miss Maggie Bard, Mrs. Ellis Latherow, of Wilmerding; Mrs. Belle McKinstry, of Ryde, and Mrs. Mattie Kenyon, of Huntingdon. There are three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church n Barree on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. J. M. McMorris. Burial was made in the Alexandria cemetery.
