VIRGIL DOUTHIT DIES SATURDAY
Virgil Douthit, 58, Palestine, died Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at Memorial Hospital here after a short illness.
He had been employed as a salesman by Moore-Sandefur Motor Company. His home was at 421 East Murchison Street.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Bailey Funeral Home with Revs. Hub Turner and Rupert Miller officiating. Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery.
Douthit was a native of Anderson County and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge here.
His survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Edith Douthit, Palestine; three daughters, Mrs. H. G. Durrett of Amarillo, Mrs. H. J. Conaway and Mrs. Lloyd Hinson, both to Palestine; five grandchildren; a brother, C. E. Douthit, Palestine; and a sister, Mrs. G. H. Barthel, Palestine.
