November 9, 1950
Mrs. Lela Davis Gould died at her home in Fleets Bay on Saturday, November 4, after an illness of a few hours.
Mrs. Gould was born May 3, 1880, the daughter of the late Wilbur F. and Mary Barnett Davis. In 1898 she married the late Harry Lee Gould, and to this union twelve children were born.

She is also survived by a half-brother, John Cris Davis, Sr. of Kilmarnock, 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon by a visiting minister friend, Elder William Kaufman, of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Radford. Interment was in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery. Mrs. Gould has been a charter member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church for over 50 years.
The large number of beautiful floral offerings attested to the high esteem in which the deceased was held by a great number of friend and loved ones. She was a beloved member of the community and her life of Christian service is an inspiration to all who knew her.
