Catherine Lantz is the daughter of Peter Nicholas and Mary Elizabeth Long Lantz, Sr. Catherine married Andrew Jackson Wonder on March 9, 1851 in Seneca, Ohio. Catherine and Andrew had four known children: Peter E. Wonder, Alvin M. Wonder, Lorenzo Wonder and Iva Wonder.

Mrs. Catharine Wonder died at her home, at Carey, Ohio., Sunday afternoon, of diseases incident to old age, aged 77 years. She is survived by her husband, Jackson Wonder, three sons, P. E. and L. M., of Carey, Ohio, and Prof. A.M. Wonder, of this place, and one daughter, Mrs. Jacob Stief, at home. Prof. Wonder left Monday morning to attend the funeral, which will be held Tuesday afternoon.
