Mary Long was born on May 22, 1786, in Ohio. She married Peter Nicholas Lantz on September 22, 1819, in Cumberland, Maryland. In 1829 they settled in Wyandot Co., Ohio. They had five children in 12 years. She died on May 30, 1849, in Big Spring, Ohio, at the age of 63, and was buried there.
