Peter Nicholas Lantz was born on May 28, 1795, in Pennsylvania. He married Mary Long on September 22, 1819, in Cumberland, Maryland. In 1829 they settled in Wyandot Co., Ohio. They had five children in 12 years. In 1870 they were living in Carey, Wyandot, Ohio. He died on May 11, 1876, in Big Spring, Ohio, having lived a long life of 80 years.
