Robert Charles Affleck, 77, passed away peacefully at home of congestive heart failure on August 16, 1994.

He was surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.

Born May 11, 1917 in Bountiful, Utah to Robert Charles Affleck and Maudeline Hart Affleck. Married Afton Grant in Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Robert graduated from Davis High School and attended Utah State University. He was an entrepreneur in the automotive industry. Managed Western Auto Stores, owned a Buick GMC agency in Preston, Idaho, and was a manufacturer rep for 23 years.

Active member LDS Church, he served faithfully in many church positions, bishopric, High Priest group leader, youth organizations, and served an LDS mission with his sweetheart to the California Los Angeles mission in 1986. He will be remembered for his friendliness, honesty, integrity, and many kind acts of service.

Survivors include his wife, Afton; son, Grant C., daughter, Connie Jean and husband, Dr. Peter Sundwall; son, Steven R. and wife, Karin; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by father, mother, and two sons, Robert Horace and Loy James.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Saturday, August 20, 1994, at the Salt Lake Cottonwood Stake Center, 1830 East 6400 South. Friends may call at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, 11 to 11:45 a.m. at the stake center. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
