Mrs. Mary Beck, aged 70 years, died at her home near Clarion early Thursday morning, Oct. 10, 1929, after a brief illness attributed to a complication of diseases. She was born near Knox on May 27, 1859, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Best. Mrs. Beck is survived by her husband and five children, Mrs. Myrtle Winkler, of Emlenton; Mrs. Ida Finnefrock, of Sligo; Mrs. Carrie Ambrose, Mrs. Anna Boyles and R. J. Beck, of Clarion. Thirty-two grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted at the home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with Rev. Dr. J. Kent Rizer, pastor of the Clarion Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment was made in the Shamburg cemetery.
