Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Gerald L. Goble Funeral Home in Clarion for Mrs. Mary M. Mays, 85, of Clarion, who died at 1:20 a.m. Thursday, April 29, in the Oil City Hospital.
Born May 20, 1885, in Knox, she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Beck. She was married June 18, 1968, to Leonard C. Mays, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Floyd A. Ambrose of Warren, Ohio, Kenneth Ambrose of Erie and Edwin T. Ambrose of New Bethlehem; 17 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Finefrock and Mrs. Ann Boyles of Clarion and one brother, Roy Beck of New Bethlehem.
One son, one daughter and three sisters preceded her in death.
The Rev. Richard B. Holzer of the Grace Lutheran Church of Clarion officiated at the funeral services and burial was in the Clarion Cemetery.
