David Allen Johnson, age 76, of Holmen passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Spring Grove MN, on June 16, 1943 to Allen and Lydia (Opsahl) Johnson.
After graduating from high school, David served in the Army. He married Judy Carol Voight on July 8, 1967 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2017.
David worked at Trane Company in La Crosse for 45 years, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed being with his family and hobbies such as fishing, bird watching, reading, listening to music, and computers.
David is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Rebecca (Thomas) Fortek of Trempealeau; two sons, Robert and Ronald Johnson both of Holmen; four grandchildren, Steven (Jessica) Fortek of Holmen, Rachel Fortek of Trempealeau, and Dominik and Catherine Johnson both of Holmen; two great grandchildren, Logan and Henry; and three sisters, Marilyn Johnson of Spring Grove MN, Julie (Dennis) Dahl of St Paul, MN, and Sara (Michael) Cedarblade of Pepin WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Ahna Johnson.
