Robert and Frances Hudnall, better known as the Old Man and Sally, of Holly Grove, Paint Creek, died Nov. 20, 2014 and Aug. 22, 2007, respectively.

Robert born May 25, 1930 in Pratt, son of the late Arch and Minnie Moore Hudnall and Sally Rush Hudnall was born in Gallagher, daughter of the late John and Mary Hughes Rush of Paint Creek.

They were preceded in death by a son, Charles Hudnall; grandson, Brian Rush of Charleston and Michael Spencer of Livingston.

Robert was a construction worker and an avid mandolin player of the Holly Grove Grass Band. Robert played in the Vandalia Festival under the same shade tree at the Capitol lawn for 26 years. Sally was a devoted and hard working contractor for the United States Postal Service with 30 years of service.

Surviving: sons, Robert Hudnall Jr. of Pratt and Edward (Leon) Hudnall of Montgomery; brother-in-law, Greg Rush and his wife, Meredith, of Campbells Creek; daughter, Rebecca (Becky) White and Paul Shaw of Pratt; grandchildren, Robert Aaron Hudnall and Ashley Jett, David and Niki White and Crystal White and Bart Thompson, all of Holly Grove, and Tony and Mandy Rush Fish of North Charleston; great-grandchildren, David White II and Robert (Bruce) White of Florida, Tiara and Seth Thompson of Holly Grove, Anden Rush of North Carolina, Zackery Kimble of Holly Grove and Alexander Fish of North Charleston.

Service to remember Robert and Sally will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26 at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with Deacon William "Bill" Lively officiating.
