Willie Kate Brooks Jeffers, 86, of Baldwin, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at a private care facility.
Born on December 20, 1920, in Greene County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late William Barlow and Frances Catherine Arrowood Brooks. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Limestone, Tenn. Mrs. Jeffers was preceded in death by her husband, Jack LaAndrew Jeffers; siblings, Annie May Lamb, Monia Beatrice Humphreys, Claude Douglas Brooks, Ollie Evelyn Brooks, Lona Leo Brooks, Rosella Huff, Eunice Leora Carter, Harrison Brooks, Willis Clifton Brooks and Earl Brooks.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Johnny Johnson, Gray, Tenn.; sons and daughters-in-law, Carroll and Dale Jeffers, Cornelia, Keith and Janice Davenport Jeffers, Limestone, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 4, in the chapel of Kiser Funeral Home, Greenville, Tenn. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Limestone, Tenn.
Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, was in charge of arrangements.
