THOMAS FRANCIS 1884-1954 was brilliant per a cousin. He survived during depression by hopping trains and joined the Hobo culture of the depression times. He worked at a circus, farming, building, and trapping and hunting. The family didn't see him very often...but rumor was he'd be home long enough to father another child.
He likely stayed in Washington area after his wife died because he had other relatives on the East Coast, like the Cheneys, Jones, and more Dahills.
It is odd that his death notice and funeral home details said he was 90. He was ONLY abt 70. BUT his father Thomas would have been 90 if he were alive. But his father Thomas died 1903 In Rhode Island railroad accident and his remains were not able to be identified except for a lunch box since he was on his way to work for the N.Y.N.H.&H. railroad. We wondered who the informant was at his death to mix this up unless the son Thomas was using his dad's ID instead of his own! Very bizarre.
