Petrus Polman, Lone Tree, Dies

Lone Tree—Petrus Albert Polman, 65, died unexpectedly early today at his home near Lone Tree. Mr. Polman was born in Holland March 30, 1891, the son of Hendrika and Petrus Polman. He married Sophie Van Aken Aug. 16, 1923. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of St. Mary’s church at Lone Tree.
Surviving are five daughters, Dorothy Hazen, Nichols, Louise Ulch, International Falls, Minn., Darlene Miller, Muscatine, Kathleen Meek, Iowa City, and Shirley Polman, Lone Tree; three sons, Albert, Jr., West Liberty, LeRoy and Robert Polman, both of Lone Tree; a brother in Holland; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and two sons.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's church in Lone Tree with the Rev. Orval Eggert officiating. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sorden and Adams funeral home in Lone Tree. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery at Nichols.
