Walter C. Wynkoop Dies of Heart Attack While Sitting in Chair
Stricken while sitting in a chair at his home 201 East Fayette street, Walter C. Wynkoop 61 years old, died of a heart attack shortly before 10 o'clock Friday Morning. Mr. Wynkoop had just returned from an errand to a nearby store and had just sat down when the heart attack occurred.
Born June 25, 1878, at Altoona he was a son of the late William and Sarah Rickle Wynkoop. He had worked for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad as a clerk at Dunbar and Connellsville for 18 years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs Nora McCormick Wynkoop, a son James Perry Wynkoop and two sister, Mrs Homer Zigler of Altoona and Mrs Edward Barnett of Norristown.
The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home in East Fayette street. Rev. A R Mansberger, pastor of the Central Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be made in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
