WILLIAM F. HOFFMAN
Well known retired section foreman of the old Tyrone division, Pennsylvania railroad, died yesterday morning at 11 o’clock at his home in Ramey, following an illness of two years. He was born March 21, 1866, at Gardner, the son of John A. and Catherine (Gardner) Hoffman. In 1897 at Bald Eagle he was united in marriage with Hattie Balling. He is survived by his wife and these sons and daughters: William and Maurice Hoffman of Ambridge, Mrs. Bertha Fulton of Indiana, Pa., Miss Gertrude Hoffman, at home. Mr. Hoffman was a member of the Ramey Methodist church and of the Houtzdale lodge of Odd Fellows. He served on old Tyrone division for many years as section foreman on the C. & C. branch, having been retired seven years ago.
