MOORESBURG - Mary Bruner Goodman, age 92, of Mooresburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 1, 2020 after a medical illness.
She was of Baptist Faith and was a faithful member of Bentley's Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay C. Goodman; parents, Tom and Maggie Bruner; brother, Robert Bruner; sisters, Velma Fields, Leota Wacks, Vesta Allen, Ruby Baxter, and Martha Wallace.
She is survived by nephew, Denzil Scotty Fields of the home; great-niece Mrs. Jason (Amanda) Hurst and kids Whitney, Summer, Scott, Kayla of Mooresburg and Blake of Rogersville; sisters, Bobbie Skelton of Church Hill, Lula Jones of Kingsport, Odetti Blank of Maryland; several nieces and nephews; special friends, JoAnne Marshel and Judy Marion of Mooresburg.
Family will receive friends Monday, February 3 from 5-7 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Robert Jarnigan and Rev. Jamie Brooks officiating. Music selection provided by Over Home boys. Graveside service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, February 4 at Mayes Cemetery.
