Albert L. Paschel, 81, of Overland Park, passed away May 1st at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He was a lifelong Johnson County resident. Mr. Paschel was a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a volunteer fireman for the Elmhurst and Overland Park Fire Departments for 22 years. He was survived by his wife, Faye Paschel; two sons, John Paschel of Dallas and Allen Paschel of Overland Park; a daughter, Darlene Louise Spears, of Mountainburg, Arkansas; two brothers, Fred Paschel of Subiaco, Arkansas, and George Paschel of Vega, Texas; three sisters, Kathryn Strafuss and Mayme Rohrback of Hereford, Texas, and Martha Rohrback of Prairie Village; and seven grandchildren.

Friends called on Tuesday evening at the McGilley & Hoge Guardian Chapel, where the Rosary was prayed later that night. Services were held on Wednesday morning at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa. The family suggested memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
