Mrs. Ida Burks, 79, died Saturday at her home in Ulman.

She was the daughter of John M. and Alice Bass Burks, born Feb. 7, 1879. She married Walter Burks, who survives, Feb. 20, 1898.

She is survived by one son, Gail Burks of Iberia; two daughters, Mrs. Opal McCommons of Ulman and Mrs. Glee Carico of Ulman; one sister, Mrs. Ollie Tinsley of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Everett Bass of Wichita; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday at the Ulman Christian Church. Burial will be in Hickory Point cemetery.
