Bernice C. Hoffman, age 79, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, June 11. She was the wife of William F. Hoffman for 56 years.

Born in Harleysville, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Y. and Ethel (Cassel) Alderfer.

Bernice was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Lansdale, where she was actively involved in the music program. This included choir, ladies' trio and the Calvary Baptist Quartet. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going out to lunch with friends and relatives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children: LuAnne DeVall (Tom), of Roanoke, VA; Loren Hoffman (Trini) of Quakertown; Michele McCloud (Jim), of Telford; William Hoffman Jr. (Lisa), of Oldham, SD; and Sheila Molyneaux (Tom),of Harleysville, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 6 siblings: Gloria Benner, Wesley Alderfer, Stanley Alderfer, Joanne Freeman, Emily Koch and Jerry Alderfer.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Paul Ott and her brother Vic Alderfer.

The family would like to thank the staff of Dock Terrace for their compassion and care shown to Bernice and her family during her stay.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 16, 1:00-2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, 1380 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale 19446. The Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
